NT-102SN/NT103SN, the IEEE802.3ah OAM (Ethernet Operations,Administrator, and Maintenance) compliant copper to fiber (NT-102SN : Fast Ethernet, NT103SN : Gigabit Ethernet) solution, is a new generation of N-Net's media converter. In the past, carriers and service provider have been suffing from the inconvenience and complexity, because they had to use various types of NMS media converters produce by various vendors. However, with the growth of Ethernet access and the deployment of Metro Ethernet and Nation-wide Ethernet as transportation network, the demands of managing Ethernet network elements become emergent. N-Net NT-102SN/NT103SN series, 802.3ah OAM and SNMP both compliant media conveter, have maximum interoperability. The IEEE802.3ah makes media converters "visible" for network managers, which means 10/100/1000M has its own IP/Mac address and network managers can set their IP address. Therefore it will make carriers and service providers to manage their network conveniently.
